Path-Q is designed to collect as little personal information as practical while still allowing us to understand how the site is used and improve it.

Analytics

Path-Q uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand site usage, such as page visits, traffic sources, general location, device information, and interactions with site features.

Analytics may also record events such as starting or completing a Path-Q journey, using decision tools, or clicking certain links. This information is used to measure and improve the site.

Information saved on your device

Some Path-Q features use your browser's local storage to save journey progress, choices, comparison information, or decision records on the device you are using. This allows you to leave a page and return without necessarily starting again.

Information stored locally in this way remains in your browser unless you clear it, reset the relevant Path-Q tool, or remove your browser data.

Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics and other third-party services used by Path-Q may use cookies or similar technologies in accordance with their own policies.

Affiliate and external links

Path-Q may link to third-party websites, including through affiliate or referral links. If you follow one of these links, the third-party site may collect information under its own privacy policy. Path-Q does not control the privacy practices of external websites.

Personal information

Path-Q does not currently require you to create an account to use its public decision tools. Do not enter sensitive personal information into free-text fields unless it is genuinely necessary for your own local record.
